We really appreciate your business and want nothing more than to ensure you have a pleasant and enjoyable experience at Sparkles dog grooming, however please respect my home & my time. This is my lively hood so a few ground rules have been put in place to ensure everything runs smoothly. Please remember your dogs appointment is your responsibility, Reminder text to your nominated mobile phone number is NOT guaranteed. Terms & Conditions

To cancel or reschedule an appointment

* 48 hours notice given: No Charge

* Less than 48 hours or No Show - 50% 1st late cancel/no show, 2nd Full Groom charge payable immediately, 3rd prepay appointment,

* Late drop off: 15 mins late your appointment may be cancelled and you will have to pay as above.


* Late pick up $1 per minute . Please avoid extra charges by picking up as soon as I have sent you a text to collect.

  My Opening Hours are Monday-Wednesday 9.30am-3pm & Thursday- Friday 8am-3pm


* Please toilet your dogs BEFORE coming to your Appointment.

* All dogs MUST be on a suitable lead

* Please ensure your dog/s have been flea treated. Infested dogs will incur a treatment, clean up & bomb fee of $40

* I do NOT Groom aggressive dogs that have been known to bite for any aspect of grooming.

* If you arrive early & the gate is closed Please wait in your car- do NOT tie your dog up to my fence & leave!

* Cancelling & then re-scheduling appointments  when there is no intention of attending appointment is not appreciated & wont be tolerated.

* I only accept cash or Eftpos (no credit cards)

* Prepaid/Instalment's  accepted by arrangement only.


Sparkles Dog Grooming Services is a "By Appointment Only" Business so I do not always have back up grooms at a moments notice so we have a 48 hour notice policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment then you are required to give me at least 48 HOURS NOTICE.... Failure to do so may incur part or full groom charges, which must be paid before you can book your next appointment.


RUNNING LATE: If you are running late, please call or text me, DO NOT face book message me, chances are im not logged in.

Please be courteous to others, If you are late then everyone else with an appointment after you will be late too, so it is important to be on time. Please allow time for traffic hold ups etc. 

I estimated overall of my business, approx 10% of that was no shows and late cancellations, that all adds up! Charging fee's is something I really tried to avoid, however in my profession, it is imperative for my business to flourish  that all appointment times are booked out. CLIENT GROOMING AGREEMENT

By accepting an appointment with Sparkles dog grooming you hereby agree to the following terms.

Sparkles Dog Grooming Services aim is to provide your dog with a pleasant grooming experience.  However, it is important to understand that some pets respond to grooming differently, even with my best efforts.  As grooming is a 'team' effort between groomer, pet and owner, I hope that by reading this policy I am able to give you a better understanding of my job.  Thank you :)

Current Vaccinations/Flea prevention:  Please DO NOT bring sick dogs here,  We do not want to carry the risk of infecting other pets during their stay.  If you suspect your pet has fleas, prompt and thorough action on YOUR part is needed.  Flea infestations can lead to tapeworm and other health problems.  If fleas are found during the grooming process, your pet will be treated with flea treatment to kill the parasites & if a heavy infestation a clean up & bomb fee.  

Aggressive or Dangerous Pets:  Owners MUST inform Sparkles Dog Grooming Services at the time of booking if your pet(s) bite, has bitten or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures.  Muzzles my be used if necessary.  Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. Sparkles Dog Grooming Services reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process and charge an Aggressive Dog Fee in addition to the regular grooming charge.

Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pets:  Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or a pet with health problems and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom.  Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress.  In the best interest of your pet this agreement will give Sparkles Dog Grooming Services permission to obtain immediate Veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary by Sparkles Dog Grooming Services.  We wil do our best to contact you first, then take your pet to the nearest veterinarian that is available.  It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner.

Matt Removal:  Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session.  Matts left in a pets coat only grow tighter and can strangle the pet's skin or eventually tear it open.  Sparkles Dog Grooming Services does not wish to cause serious or undue stress to your pet and will not continually de-matt your pet for you.  Matts can be very difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved short.  When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the matts.  Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mould, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process.  Torn skin from matts can also harbour maggots.  After effects of matt removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow.  Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should either have sunscreen applied daily or should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin.  In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioural changes.  Prevention is the best defence against matting by scheduling in regular grooming appointments.  There is an extra charge for dematting.

Accidents:  There is always the possibility an accident could occur.  Grooming equipment is very sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails etc.  In most cases this can happen when a pet is wriggling or moving around.  If you arrive to pick up your pet and it is still being groomed, please do NOT talk to your pet or allow them to see you.  Every effort will be made to insure your pet is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue to work on. If your pet continues excitement and I can no longer groom your pet then I reserve the right to end the grooming session, even if the groom is not completed and the full grooming price will be charged.

Late Pick-ups:  I do not have boarding facilities.  If your dog is not picked up by the arranged time given then a kennel charge may also apply. 

No-shows & Cancellations:  Please give Sparkles Dog Grooming Services 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment.  I understand there may be emergency situations and will work with you, but not on a continued basis.  Please be respectful of my time as I am a by-appointment business and another client could have taken your appointment if I had known.   Note: Clients who are 15 minutes late may run the risk of losing their appointment without notice.
